Bro, I know. Trust me, if it's a technical issue, I'm almost guaranteed to be well-versed in it. I'm asking why he got interlaced instead of progressive, since progressive doesn't have the annoying flicker that interlaced does.

Anyway, did you have a plasma? LCD's usually don't do that, but you have to contend with dead pixels if you have them. We had one on our TV, and it's annoying as hell to see it on a black background, which is pretty common on video games, especially loading screens. In any case, most manufacturers refuse to take them back unless it's obscene.
