HDMI for all?

From what i've heard XCM will be coming out with a new cable that will enable any 360 to output to hdmi. Its still in the works but i'm sure the guys at xbox-accessories.com will have them as soon as they hit the market.

There has to be an HDMI output on your 360 for it to display an HDMI signal... some "magical" cable isn't going to get you that kind of an output.

Well XCM seems to think its possible, we'll just have to see. They also were the first to bring mouse and keyboard support to the 360, so it wouldn't suprise me too much if they did come up with something. Usually they don't release information until they actually have it prototyped and working, so i'm willing to bet its possible.

It's not a true HDMI cable though, you would be wasting your money buying it. Notice the distinct analog audio inputs on the box, also, why bother, it can only do 1080i, stock xbox cables can do that, most of the allure of HDMI is being able to display 1080p. And to pay $80 dollars for it is insane. There is absolutely no gain in using that product.

How else are you going to add audio to the hdmi cable? Imo hdmi in 1080i is still better than 1080i via component inputs.
