Every time I put a song onto my ps3 it says how much is left... which for me, it says 8gb.... 60gb isn't enough.

Upgrade to a bigger one. WD Scorpio 250 GB SATA Hard Drives ( WD2500BEVS )

For all the techies out there: PS3 uses a SATA interface, right? Almost certain it does but...

Thats the one for it? It says it's for laptops. If some one knows please say it because I would deff buy that. If you got a new hard drive wouldn't it not really act as a ps3? because it would be erased.

Any 2.5 inch SATA HDDs work with the PS3.

60 gigs is more then enough unless you have some love bond between you and your trailers and demos where you can't let them go. >_>

That's the one. Like zero said, any 2.5 inch hard drive will work with the ps3... now, there is more to this though than just plugging in the hard drive to my knowledge. I'm pretty certain that you have to install the XMB software, unless the xmb version 1.0 is in some internal ROM chip, in which case you'll just have to upgrade to the newest one. Also, you'll need to take all your old game saves off via flash drive, and then put them back on again.

There was speculation that it was going to come out this month with the release of Playstation Home, but now that Home has been delayed, who knows. There really hasn't been any official information regarding the update so we could see it within the next couple of months, or even early next year with the arrival of Home.

FYI: I was talking about the 2.0 Playstation update.

I can't even remember the last time that I turned on my PS3... but it seems like there is a new update to be downloaded each time whenever I happen to turn the PS3 on.

Perhaps I should turn it on right now, so the newest update will finally be released?
