I have Verizon FiOS that's suposed to be 5 megabits per second on the dowlnoad and 2 on the upload. Both my PS3 and laptop are wirelessly connected.

I find it hard to believe that my PS3 is more than twice as fast as my computer and internet service.

Well, in my defense, there were severe storms in the Chicago area for most of the day... maybe I should have rebooted first? I dunno.

5074kb/s for the DL speed
and
491 kb/s for the upload speed

and for my comp

I got a new router earlier, and I got much better results this time around on both my PS3 and PC...

What router do you have now Creep? The change is amazing.....and I have the same ISP, and my speed is about the same as your BEFORE speed.

Right now I have the Netgear WGR614 or something....j/w what router you bought that makes such a dramatic difference.

It's this Linksys router, which claims to have some kind of a speedbooster... I forget the exact model number, as I'm at work right now... I can edit my post later today, but here's a picture of it for the time being.
