In Halo 3 u can record game play and save it to your xbox hard drive. Do you think if u have your computer hooked up to your xbox360 then u can save it to your computer to save space on your hard drive?

Nope..when you save the gameplay on Halo 3, it's just a saved data file..if you were to open up the file on your computer, it would just be a bunch of jibberish. The reason for this is to take up less space..if it saved actual video and sound footage the files would be extremely big, especially when it's uncompressed footage. I don't know the exact details, but when you save the gameplay it just saves the data of the game( I guess..), and takes up wayyyy less space.
Although when the final game comes out, with the stuff you'll be able to do in the theater lobby, it's definitely going to make gameplays and montages more interesting.

basically the same, substitute the 360 for PS2 and whatever game your playing for socom and there you have it

He's talking about a new feature that will be in Halo 3. At the end of each game you have the option to same the gameplay of the game you just played(to your 360). To watch it you go into the "Theater Lobby", and select the gameplay and watch it. In the Halo 3 Beta you were just able to watch the GP and that's it..but from what's been said(by Bungie I believe), in the final release you will be able to do much much more like slow-mo while you're watching, fast forward, pause, and have a roaming camera - so if you were to stick someone cross map, instead of showing your POV like you would in Halo 2, you can put the camera on the guy you stick and show him getting stuck, or you can follow the stick with the camera as it's going through the air..this will definitely add some new and interesting idea's for montages.
