The Wii is good. I don't know why you, BoyEngland, trashed about it. I'm almost sure that you never tried a Wii before. Once SSB Brawl will release, it will dominate.

I'd have to agree with him for the most part right now. Yes, the Wii is innovative, but at the same time the software is seriously lacking. Only the Nintendo first-party games are any good. So I would have to agree, unless they start uppin' their software anty', they're gonna wash away just like the Gamecube did. Gamecube had a bunch of good games by the end of its life cycle, but not nearly enough to keep them afloat. Nintendo needs to get past Link, Mario, and Samus and start getting different/new games to the market.

Heres my opinion on the Wii:

And oxford just because a vast minority (doesn't make much sense) of 360 owners have problems with it doesn't mean that it'll automatically break after a short time of play. I've had mine for way too long now and not a single problem with the system, ever. Maybe you are trying to say other systems are better than it, sure. But I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is a horrible system.

And back to the Wii, please don't say try it before you say it sucks. I've played it countless times over my friends' (plural) house. It always bores me in a matter of minutes. All of my friends who have Wiis know that the only thing that keeps them playing it is Zelda and that is only because every Zelda (usually) has a great storyline. The motion sensing has a major suckage to it, and the games have limited or no replay value. Sorry, I love Nintendo, but the Wii definitely should have had more work done for it before they released it to the world.

The Wii is alright..IMO it's definitely "meant" to be played with your friends. I used to own a Wii, and played it once, for 5 minutes..(wii bowling, it was to test the wii remote I bought since the one that came with my Wii was defective..mind you, I didn't get a new remote until late May, and got my Wii in the beginning of December) I ended up trading it in, for a 360..however my friend owes a Wii, and I play it occasionally over at his house - only when a group of friends are over..good times are definitely had when there's 4 of us playing Wii tennis, Mario Party...8?, and Wii Play..although that's only 2 player games.

I believe that we shouldn't judge the Wii until the fat lady sings. Nintendo is testing new waters in the gaming industry and I think it will surely pay off in the long run. I can wait to get a Wii for awhile. I will end up getting one, I know I will enjoy it with games like Brawl coming out, and I think it will live up to more than being just a system to play with friends with games like Resident Evil 5 coming out.

50$ for Premium, 30$ for Elite, 20$ for Core. Who the hell will buy the Core? Plus, 30$ for elite? Come on, they don't do anything...

I've always wondered what would happen if Sony or MS (especially Sony) were to launch a sensor bar peripheral for their consoles. Essentially, either of them could easily adapt their console to offer the same functionality as the Wii does (esp sony, since their controllers are already motion, albeit not position, sensitive, which coupled with the bluetooth ability it really wouldn't be hard for them or a third party to do so). I mean really, not only could they offer the same innovation, but the already large processing power that their systems have would allow for next gen gaming (by that I mean the graphics, physics, AI, etc) with that innovation.

Just seems to me that if either company were to risk the chance of bad press for stealing Nintendo's idea, they could shut them down.

However, I highly doubt that would ever happen.

I never remember anyone making fun of you. We just said we didn't think it was going to happen. Making fun of someone is a lot different than simply not believing what someone says.
