Microsoft's press conference
Wow......this is DULL!!!!!
All they are doing is focusing on multiplatform games the whole time. Talked about some crappy games for windows, and absolutly NO exciting announcments yet.
The coolest thing so far was a 30 second Lost Oddyssy trailer.
*waits for something exciting*
They have showed about 15 old trailers (Weeks old) >_>
Yah ok, they showed officially nothing.

Here are the major pointers of the conference that I can remember:
- GoW is heading the PC with new content (This was made official after rumours said the same)
- The Elite will be available in Europe in August
- A whole bunch of Disney movies will be available on XBL tonight and in the future
- A special Halo 3 edition console (green) will be available in September, no word on if its a regular console or if it is like the elite
- All movies. TV shows, etc will be made available to Europe and Canada soon
- Something about Virtua Fighter 5 for 360 will enable multi-player
- CoD4 looks absolutely amazing! Like SOCOM 3 but good, sounds were annoying though
- Peter Moore played Rock Band, seems there are 2 guitars, a mic, and a drum kit available for the game
- Scene It (board game) will be made into a video game with a new controller, the entire package will be $60
- All games (except Resident Evil 5) shown at the conference are going to be available this year
- Assassin's Creed was played on the big screen, looks good but buggy
- The ChatPad (controller keyboard) will be shipping in September, I think the price is $29.99 but could be wrong
- The 360 is getting a new chip that makes the console cheaper to build, and coller to run. I don't think the price is dropping though
I think that's about it. I can't remember anything else so it can't be important. The entire conference was really slow and didn't really excite me or even the crowd present. I did like the look at some of the games, but nothing really made me want to say "oh ****! Cant wait for..." or anything like that.
Nothing new on GTAIV, we just saw the second trailer and they seem to think seeing it on a huge screen is enough to excite us..... wrong!
I cant find any videos of it yet, but IGN should have one in due time, and I believe G4 is streaming the conferences live so keep a look out there also.
PS: I also saw that after the PS3 price drop, an 80GB PS3 model will be available to replace the current price tag of the 60GB model.

WTG, Microsoft!!!
How typical... you're a day late and a dollar short in finally admitting there is a universal problem with your consoles, and then they announce this news???
I'll tell you all one thing... it's looking more and more like I might trade in all of my Xbox 360 crap as the days go by... eff you, Microsoft!
[/end rant]

I was rather unimpressed. Nothing new mentioned. And I don't know about anyone else, all the good stuff got cut to commercial. Every time they showed a game, bam, commercial, and then G4 comes back, "we're looking at blah blah blah game" as its rolling the trailer/demo to an end. Nothing like actually seeing the software, thats "the best lineup for this holiday" and wasn't your press conference centered around software this year, hmm... Wow, I'm sure gamers wanna sit there and hear statistics, and then have them show absolutely nothing of the games for the most part. It's sad when really the best part was the YouTube video kids playing the Halo theme song at the opening, and the 30sec. of RE5 they showed. And what was with the lame *** Halo trailer they showed. I wanna see the actual game, not a trailer from the movie.

For hose who have missed it (despite it already been aired 3 times) I believe the entire thing can be seen here:
G4 - E3 07 Live - Spotlight
The SONY conference starts in 20 minutes (2pm Eastern) so for anyone who wants to watch, check the G4 site for a stream or watch it on TV.

Man, that was nothing special... Only thing I want to see is Final Fantasy XIII and Assassin Creed.

I think this year's E3 show was below average... as in, boring all around. Last year's show seemed to be much better.

Well, this year microsoft just focused on multiplatform games for some ****ing reason, thinking they own the ****. No exciting announcments, only thing they showed that we didn't know about is the puke green Halo 3 360 SKU. They are trying to be the hip, cool console, but they failed miserably. Nintendo was in between. They announced release dates for Brawl and Mario and what not, showed Wii Fit, but overall, nothing very exciting. Sony on the other hand, the start of their conference was extremely cheesy, but near the end, it defenitly destroyed the other 2. They focused on GAMES, and games only, and my god they had a lot of them. They also showed off a few new PSPs, and etc. Most of Microsoft conference was just numbers and graphs, pretty much showing what they achieved when they were the ONLY NEXT GEN SYSTEM ON THE MARKET.
But all the game showings AFTER the press conference is the most exciting part. You gotta admit, for every console there are very very good games coming out.

Eh, I guess so... but I still thought the show was underwhelming... especially compared to last year's show.
