Well obviously showing off new systems and upcoming games for it, is always more exciting then just showing upcoming games (And some talking about how to improve the console).

Last year's E3 was the last of the gigantic come one come all E3's, there all smaller now. In fact, didn't it almost get canceled?

We have to remember that last year's E³ was better for different reasons.

First of all people who already owned the 360 still saw the good parts of the console (not the breaking side of it) and loved all the new games.

PS2 owners were basking in the new announcements for the PS3, the promises made by Sony to be better than the others, etc.

The Wii was another thing people got hyped up about.

This year its all games, and face it, games aren't all that exciting to talk about since they just cause discussion. Hardware is somehow different, people wonder what else can be put on the already "perfect" consoles we have now. People were thinking, "WTF can they put on the PS3 that wasn't on the PS2?!" rather than this year's, "I hope SOCOM is better this time around".

Last year we had 2 new consoles that were barely known (no one had hard facts about either console until last years E³) to love, this year we have a lot of games of a few variations (most of them were the same as the rest) that we already knew about right after last year's expo.

Just look at the pictures from this year's expo. Lines are totally empty, its full of journalists who get paid to get excited about stuff, its like watching CNN after watching TheFeed for 10 years (boring and full of propaganda).

This video is evidence enough for me to know how much of an improvement the new Socom should be...

That's my point.

We see a video of a game, think it looks good, and then wait for it to come out.

It just doesn't give the atmosphere of past E³'s.

I'm not trying to argue with you or saying you are wrong in anyway for doing that, but I think that is the main reason that most people barely even care about E³ this time around.

I agree with zero... it was "dull" this year because there was no new console information to release... there were just upcoming games to talk about.

Looks exactly like GRAW, but lower graphs, but still good i guess(as long as its good/fun like socom TWO). even the zoomed-aim view. graw like. that means good. just hope they get the shooting part right and tunned for each weapon.
