Resistance Map Pack and Server integration

Apparently, There is a new map pack coming out soon for resistance! And a new patch, in addition to integrating all the worlds servers into one.
I <3 insomniac, they're make zipper look horrible.

I can't wait to own some fools from overseas. Also, CvC is going to be removed (I think that's both a good and bad move).

i was on earlier and there were rooms galore..
the patch took like 10 mins to DL so that was like my only complaint, and i don't think that I'm going to buy the maps. 8 dollars for 2 maps, thats ridiculous

Between Americans alone there's a lot of complaining about lag, so imagine how bad it is, with your connection going all the way across the Atlantic...
I've only played against a few Americans on Vegas, and it's normally fine when a European is the host, but when an American is the host, it seems to lag like a biatch...
Haven't played any Americans on Resistance though, so maybe it's a different story...
Can I ask though, have any of yous had problems getting onto Resistance since the firmware/patch... alot of Europeans have?

Thank god they integrated the servers. The Brits actually make good rooms, that aren't inf ammo + 1 shot kill. Honestly, how the heck does anyone find that fun? You spawn with every weapon, so everyone just uses the M5A5 or LAARK and its a stalemate. A never ending supply of M203-ish projectiles and a fast accurate gun that kills in one hit..... so noobish.
Sorry, but that pretty much killed Resistance for me and I think a lot of other people as well. I want to have another breach war in Nottingham. Rant over.
As for the map packs, Combrone (sp?) is kick *** (Still no Manchester), but it's fairly easy to die in westmorland when you join late/spawn in front of snipers/1-shot kill is one (even easier to die than normal since there is no real cover).
@ Kain,
Haven't noticed any lag amongst Europeans when I've played with them. Neither in R6V or Resistance, although i haven't seen that many in R6V.

I am planning on getting a PS3 soon. I hope I will find this game entertaining because I keep hearing complaints about rooms etc. Do they actually release patches normally or one patch/ per 10 years? Lol

They release patches a little less often than the PS3 firmware updates are, which means like once every month or so
