PS2 lens problem
hey i know ps2 is kinda old and outdated, but i gotta question about it since i am no where near getting a next gen console.

has anybody every tampered with their ps2 lens? i kept getting disc read errors, so i opened it up and adjusted the gear that adjusts the lens. i get no disc read errors, but now some of my games skip (BRAND new games too) and sometimes they just stay at loading screens forever. anybody have any ideas of what i can do? i might readjust the lens to the "sweet spot", but it'll take awhile so i gotta find time first.

thnx guys, i haven't been on these forums a while, but i know i can come here for any gaming problem i have.

I think it's just plain wearing out. Mine did the exact same thing before it died. If you wanted to trade your system in though, you won't be able to now, because to open the system you had to take the little black sticker off the back of it.

Get some canned air from walmart and spray it out next time you have it apart.
