Try restarting your router. Usually when internet connections run slow I just restart my router and it runs smoothly again.

Where are you at? That might have something to do with it. And, do you have a long cord, or is it short?

I have a long cord (running through most of my house to my room) and i live in Canada, though i doubt its where i live, only because all of the other people i know dont have the long log in issue. They all have the same isp and live in the same area. Actually believe it or not i thnk it smoothed it self out quite a bit, it only takes about 15 secconds to log in now. I power cycled my modem/router again, except for more like 20 minutes, and then i called my isp and had them reset my ip (because a house geust had pluged in a ps2 directly to the modem it was had 2 ips... or something like that) but it all seems to be running very smoothly, considering that there is someone watching naughty videos on my computer and all...
