I already tell people how terrible the 360 is at work when they want to buy one...
Nice attitude... I'm surprised that you still have a job. I know if someone behind the register of a store said something like this to me, I'd totally complain about it to the store manager, and whoever the store manager has to answer to... but then again, I don't shop at Wal-Mart, so I guess it's no big deal to me in the long run.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!

Well....wouldn't it be better for the store if he got people to buy the more expensive item??
Also, if I was working at store I would be pretty honest with them saying that hardware could be pretty unreliable, but also point out the good stuff about it. Atleast give them SOME info so they know what to expect, and so they can make a decision on their own.
Its not an attitude when I say it to young people that I know will take it light heartedly. Its not a big city where I see different people everyday, sir. And the thing is, you could complain to the manager all you want, but in the long run I'm keeping people form having to return garbage to the service desk, where nobody even knows the policies for games/consoles, and lose us money.

Still a pretty bad attitude, if you ask me. People want to spend their money on themselves... sounds like a waste of time, worrying what other people are spending their money on.

I'd more or less call it a love for debate (as if you guys haven't noticed) instead of an attitude.

Well, as far as the red ring goes, I got it a few months ago and got a free replacement (I assume that's what the topic still is). Yes, the 360 breaks but I still wouldn't trade mine for any console out there. It has had a marvelous game line up over the past 2 years and it's going to get even better this year.
Now we seem to be talking about whether or not employees telling customers how to spend their money is a good idea. I have no idea how the higher ups at the store would react to that so I'm not getting into that. I always know exactly what I'm going to buy before walking into a game or electronics store before walking in, so I don't tend to listen to people that try to change my mind. I do my research beforehand. If I was going to listen to someone though, I'd go find a customer that knew what they were talking about, as they have nothing to gain by telling me how to spend my money.

I just checked UPS and apparently M$ has sent my 360 back. Its a refurb but hey its better then my other broken one. Hoping to get it tommorow. I suppose I will be satisfied with MS's customer support, but before i run my mouth to much I wanna see if my refurb works. I have heard way to many horror stories to get to excited. If anyone wants to hit me up on live my GT is JoseyWales211. Mention this forum on the friends request.
Oh man, I remember when I got my 360 back I got a hard drive error. I thought it had fried it, but I took it out and put it back in and it worked. I was sweating on that one.

Some guy on gametrailers said that MS sent his 360 to the REGULAR XBOX repair center on accident, and he got a regular xbox back in the mail. They then refused to reimburse him just because they claim his 360 serial ID was invalid.
