Not true... I bought my first 360 back in 2006, and I just recently had mine gutted for the newer Elite parts, after I started having troubles with discs being read in the tray... it all depends on how good you are at "negotiating" with people, I guess.

Of course. That is, if you can find the parts for cheaper somewhere. But it just plain out sucks that you DO infact have to pay the extra 100 bucks in regular retail stores which is way more convienient for most people just flat out screams suckage.

Well i must be one of the unlucky ones. I bought mine in Feb 07. I got the RROD about a week nd a half ago. I used to think all the talk online about junky 360's were just sony fanboys. I have seen the light now. The red lights that is. |

Yet people don't scream and yell at the fact that the PS3 has had how many different versions now? Three or four? I lost count.
I'll give the Elite 360 one thing... it came out seriously beefed up, in the attempt of being more competitive in the market, now that the PS3 and Wii consoles were out on market.

Something that made me laugh the other day when I went to Play.com live. They had a bunch of 360's lined up to play Halo3. 2 of them had the RROD ha! People were taking pictures and laughing and the staff were looking a little red in the face.

Thinking about it again I probably would've gotten in a fight with some 360 fanboy douchebags. I already tell people how terrible the 360 is at work when they want to buy one, imagine if i actually saw more than one doing the RROD at the same time, WHILE PLAYING a game whose utter shittiness is only matched by the console it was made for. Oh man oh man

I've got 3 rings out of the 4 ever since i first turned my xbox on. But i just turn it on and off a few times and it works.
