I suggest that no one use the towel trick. All this does cause more problems. Your best solutions is to send it in.

The Red Ring of Death is why I refuse to give Microsoft anymore of my money.

Their PC systems crash too much as it is already. Im not wasting another 200-300 bucks on a machine that will break in a matter of months. Iv'e heard that they're in the process of fixing the problem though.

Even though I do not own a 360. I do have some freinds that do own one and know the troubles of getting their warranty renewed and fixed, and how it's a pain in the *** to call them up and wait for a new machine or a repair service to finally pick up your order.

I think I got away lucky with mine. I had the premium system for a while. The day I bought Lost planet it decided to die on me. Just after the awesome part on the second or third level with the giant worm. All I did was take it back to GAME with the receipt and they replaced it there and then. I bought an elite the day it came out and I've had no problems with it. *Touch wood*

Yes, the Elites seem to have been improved with all of the older bugs being fixed. Too bad 360 owners have to pay the extra 100 bucks for it :(

Well, I guess that's how it's worth. You get more bang for our buck. Other 360 owners could try and buy one at a pawn shop or eBay. (Although, I don't particularly trust some of the people on eBay).

Just a week ago I had ordered something. It had arrived and it was the wrong one. A slight shipping error I know, but that was unnacceptable.

The problem is already fixed, and it's been fixed for over a year. Very few 360's that were manufactured during or after Q4 '06 have had the RRoD. I bought my 360 in January '07 and sold this past January, not one problem with it when I had it.

I bought a 3 month XBL thing and after only 2 months they wanted me to pay again so I was like "WTF? Hell no!". And I was frustrated with the month+ of online issues.

Plus, I wanted a PS3. My worst investment ever

Im talking about the problem before hand. Not now. Although some 360 owners still experience it.
