This is a clever idea. You'd need to do some good advertising to breathe life into it. It'd be pretty easy too, especially if it's just a database driven by a 360's serial number.

A good name would be key, as well as a good purpose. How about a forum for people to share the technical problems they've had with the hardware and the software too?

Even though it is almost 2 years into the life of the 360, I don't believe microsoft will fix anything anytime soon, or admit their mistakes. So, Microsoft's mistakes is what will make the site popular. If by any chance there is a recall, or they totally fix the consoles, whatever, the site is ruined!

After being placed on hold for almost 40 minutes today, I found out that my console still has yet to be looked at... even though they received it at their repair facility on June 27th.

Needless to say, I was out of my mind pissed off after I heard this... lucky for me, some guy named Ken answered the phone and spoke fluent english... I had a few choice words for Ken's company after receiving this most recent news. He told me that my console would more than likely be diagnosed and/or repaired, and then shipped back to me on Monday (July 9th).

Ken also decided to remind me that my warranty expires in May 2009... to which I told him that was a perfectly good waste of money, as Microsoft is offering everyone with a faulty 360 free shipping and repair... which must be a whole lot of people as of late, seeing as how your repair department is so backed up with repair work.

Once I get my console back, and they only include a free month of Xbox Live, I will be trading in this P.O.S. console and picking up a Nintendo Wii... to the people that I have played online with in the past, it was a whole bunch of fun while it lasted.

In conclusion... GREAT beta-testing, Microsoft... please, do us all a favor and stick to making P.O.S. Window operating system updates... developing gaming consoles seems to be way out of your league!!!

Neither have I... but this is what dealing with mentally challenged "customer service" people will do to you.

Long story short, I am sick and tired of dealing with Microsoft's faulty garbage... what a better way to end it than trading all of it in for a brand new Nintendo Wii.

On my last post in this thread, I said Microsoft won't admit their mistakes, Xbox.com | Open Letter From Peter Moore , but they actually, kind of did! They also extended the warranty to 3 years. You know a console has problems when the system warranty goes from 3 months, to a year, to 3 years. Nice attempt to keep customers Microsoft! You know what really works? Fixing the ****ing console!

I shipped mine out June 20th and haven't gotten any news either Creep.

I tried to work out a way to get rid of my 360 and buy a PS3, but i don't have any cash, and I'm kinda ****ed anyway. I'll just keep sending it out to them, week after week.

I called them the other day, wasn't on hold once, asked the lady about my console, and they said they're waiting for "-----". I don't remember what she said, but I assume they're waiting for a faulty console to come in that they can "fix" and send back to me. If I get another faulty console, I might go crazy like Creep. (and I will most likely get another faulty one.)
