I'll tell all of you one thing... after all of the crap that I have had to deal with in regards to my PS2 and 360 breaking down, I'll most likely NEVER purchase a new console until there is a significant reduction in hardware failures and/or a price drop.

Doesn't have a reduction in hardware failures because well, there basicly is none xD Huzzah! And this just in, PS3 will be $150 dollars this holiday season!

The PS3 price drop is getting closer and closer. This article basicly confirmed that there will be one before christmas, they are just still discussing how much the price drop will be.

No Way....Make the price of the PS3 the same price as a Portable PSP. Bollocks !!! 
There's been a few million sold already...I don't think they would want to aggravate the consumers with a price drop of that magnitude. If so, then I should have sold it when it came out and got a couple months ahead on my Mortgage. |

Then it looks like this will be the time when I start to seriously consider purchasing one... doesn't matter to me how few hardware failures its had up until now... I'm just getting sick and tired of getting burned by these supposed well-reputable companies.

I seriously considered buying a PS3 back when I played MGS for the first time knowing that the series is bound to go to the PS3 in the very distant future (This was like, 8 years ago) xD

LMAO... I called Microsoft's "tech support" people earlier this afternoon just so I could ask to speak with someone who didn't float over on a door. Needless to say, they couldn't understand me, and I couldn't understand them. Typical Microsoft...

Some 360s scratch discs even when the console is staying still due to some faulty hardware, but, it is known that any 360 WILL scratch your disc if you move it while it is running. So don't do that!
All just because Microsoft wanted to save 2 cents per 360 and didn't want to buy little rubber thingies for the lens which is the standard for every single cd/dvd/hd-dvd/blu-ray player.
