My friend was freakin cause his 360 when I went over his house. And it was like one of those situations, he didn't have his AV cables plugged in. I let him cry to his mom and try and call microsoft. He went to the Basement to get something and I plugged it in and played, I think he had an orgasm that it worked.

I get the red lights several times, but that is just because of the damn loose connection to the power supply. That thing is so loose that a bump disconnects it.

My friend just got the Red Lights a couple of days ago. I guess it's standard now for Microsoft to send the customer the prepaid repair box and I take it he'll also get the Free Month of Live.

They're only going out of their way to appear like they're the good guys, in the hopes of avoiding a lawsuit. I've been reading up on reports lately, and if things continue like this for Microsoft, they're going to have more to worry about than just pre-paid shipping boxes and a free month of Xbox Live.

They are losing more money on buying cardboard boxes than they are with the 360 xD

Yeah, it's refreshing to see that at least their shipping department knows how to assemble a cardboard box for shipment... too bad their console designers couldn't be as efficient.

I just found this article on IGN this morning and found it to be interesting, with a grain of salt of course.
IGN: Microsoft Adds More Xbox 360 Cooling
France ??? Czech Rebulic ??? What about Korea ???

I really don't see how that would fix the problems. Most 360 problems are not directly caused from overheating. The extra cooling might or might help some of the problems, but what Microsoft really needs to do is have a complete 360 overhaul, and allow you to get a free one with the trade in of an old 360 xD.

True... the only thing that adding additional heat sink will help is the (original) problem with the Xbox 360 turning into an Easy Bake after its been on and running for a handful of hours. That's the only problem that will solve, if you ask me.
Now they just need to worry about a large number of their disc drives either carving circles in the CDs and making them unreadable, and/or giving people "disc unreadable" messages as the games load.
I guess a multi-million dollar corporation like Microsoft can't handle any multi-tasking...

It is just a distraction to throw people off so more people buy 360s, and the people that have one won't feel as upset when it breaks.
It is a short, temporary trick Microsoft pulled off to keep people calm for about..........a few weeks until people realise it does ****.
