Of course, no one critisizes Microsoft for having limited backwards compatibility.

Such blasphemy is not allowed! How dare you even attempt to say anything negative about an MS product in a PS3 area!

Oh, and as far as I know, PS2 games don't look better on the PS3, they just look the same. When the PS3 first launched, PS2 games looked worse on it (although I thought S:CA did look better), but then they fixed that with an update. Now the PS2 games look like how they should.

What is there to criticize? I thought it was a well known fact that they cut a majority of the backwards compatibility with old Xbox games in order to keep the price of their (then new) Xbox 360 console down...

Please... get off the cross... someone else needs the wood.

Good move on Sony's part. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of downloadable content Sony has to offer. If it's good enough, I may just set aside some money for a PS3. I really don't mind if it can't play some of the games I played for the PS2 on the PS3, if it's that good chances are that there is going to be some type of new game coming for the PS3 that's PS3 designed, such as Socom, Resident Evil, etc.
