Shivering Isles which is the expansion for Oblivion was uploaded before the maintenance as Nelson stated, they also found a major issue while in maintenance so its going to take some more time.

Sweet, I'm not crazy.

I just went and crawled through a whole 60 feet of my cramped attic to pull a new Ethernet cord through for my 360 downstairs. The cord goes through the ceiling down to my computer, so I needed another one for my 360. Now I can be on my computer and my 360 at the same time. Anyway, I crawled through all of that hot, stinky, dusty, insulation filled, cramped, space just to put that cord through the ceiling, then I come downstairs and XBOX Live won't load up.

I was like, "Gary-titty-****in'- Coleman! What is going on here!".

Then I came onto these boards to ask about it. Now I remember. I feel like an idiot.

Perhaps it's to upgrade the XBL service to accomodate the still-rumored 360 Elite that will support IPTV?

According to Major Nelson they are very very close to being done. His site is overloaded right now and wont work though, but he posted this news elsewhere.

I am just assuming it will be 9 pm EST when they get it up.....hopefully. I want to get in some gaming before I go to sleep.


Also look for some important announcement that is going to take place at Midnight EST tonight (That is if they get LIVE working), also tomorow night as well.

The Oblivion update(s) were released before the maintenance so that's not what they are working on, these announcements might be interesting though. If there is one on Thursday I can bet my umper-lumper it's about GTA:IV.

Along with IPTV comes the ability to use your 360 as a DVR. You'll be able to record shows in the background, while you're playing games online.

This way Nightbringer won't have to choose between playing Dance Dance Revolution or watching Glimore Girls.
