Hmm.

Play & Charge Kit
Memory Unit

And something you DO NOT need: A INTERCOOLER, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise, i got the 3 red lights because of that c*ap, thank god i didnt have to send it to microsoft because it cooled down and it started working and it stopped freezing.

I trashed that sh*t so far down the dumpster i think i made a hole through it

Also when you buy the Xbox buy the Premium Bundle, it comes with the Harddrive/Headset/1 Month of XBL.

And E Writer i think he can choose his own games.

Like Dante said, you get a controller, headset, hardrive, and 30 - days XBL right out of the box. (Premium package only!)

The only thing you really need after that is a charger, or millions of AA batteries. Rechargeable AA's work, but you may as well get either the plug and play or the quick charge.

If you get Rainbow Six, don't buy a 1-year XBL because you get maybe 2 days free XBL I think. I got 31 days with the free trial out of the box with the console (don't know how), and 2 days with Vegas. I then got the 1 year card.

Those extra 2 days could be well worth it.

Other than that, I wouldn't say you NEED anything else. You may want something to keep the console cool, but don't get the inter cooler like Dante said. You may also want some MS Points, but I have survived 3 months without them.

I just use 2 small fans. (See my post in the gaming set-up in off topic.)

Get the premium 360. It comes with the hard drive, the HD cables, a controller and a headset. Then all you need is an Xbox live gold subscription, which the premium 360 gives you a month free of.

A play & charge kit is recommended. It's around $20 and will eliminate the endless need of batteries for your controllers.

The Vision Camera is nice to have, though not required. It allows you to video chat, send picture messages, and has functionality in some games.

Do not get the wireless headset. It works great on your end, but most of the time other players will state that your mic is causing feedback/noise.

Games come and go. Right now Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas are hotshit. In two months they may not be. One of the best things about xbox live is the game demos, which pretty much keeps you from buying poopy games ever again.

After a Hot Chick flashed me her Boobies the other night while playing UNO with the LVC, I've decided that LVC is a required device.

Definetely throw down the clams and get the year long Gold Memebership.
If there is a fire in my house the first thing I will grab is my 360.
My PS3 will burn.

By the way...Come April, they're should be a few other devices that might be considered " Required ".

Keyboard
Mouse
Guitar Hero 2
etc.... etc....
But what's in the 360 Box alone is enough for constant enjoyment even without all the accessories

Sorry e writer lol guess i didn't see that.

Anyway i think The Elder Scrolls Oblivion is the most funnest game on Xbox 360, I recommend that game for everyone, its a game i simply never get tired of.

Hours of endless fun, over 350 Hours of gameplay, yeah the game is FREAKING HUGE, not to mention they are adding another 25% to the game making it even bigger so making that over 400 hours of gameplay.

BTW You can just buy a Year Of Xbox Live and use the card right away, it won't cancel your trial, your full year will start right after the trial ends.
