I'm looking forward to Paperboy. God I miss old games like Altered Beast, Shinobi, and Final Fight.

I just brought up Castlevania a few days ago. That was one of the best PS1 games ever made. I never got to finish it, I barely made it past the first few bosses.

I would say that Todays XBLA release is Paperboy.

I downloaded the Paperboy trial earlier today.

Lets just say its not like it used to be.

I retract my original post about this game in saying it is crap, and I will not be buying it.

From Nun's post, I gather they are releasing one game a day?

I bought the full version of Paperboy last night... for a $5 download, I thought it was totally worth it.

I unlocked another hidden gamerpic after playing for 3 or 4 minutes... my high score in the game - as of this morning before work - is ranked somewhere in the 300's on Xbox Live... and I unlocked 85 out (of the 200 total) gamerscore points in almost one hour after I downloaded it.

It's a perfect emulation of the arcade classic, if you ask this old school gamer.

I swear sometimes that younger gamers have NO appreciation for the classic arcade games. Gamers raised on SNES games should consider themselves lucky they didn't have to play some of the games that gamers my age have been subjected to.

Are we talking about frustration-fests like ET for the Atari 2600 here?

I think we need Qbert in the XLA. That'd be totally rad.

LMAO... they could give away that E.T. game for free on Xbox Live Arcade, and I'd still steer clear of that junkfest.

And yeah, I was referring to old school gamers like you, me, BAMF, Nun, and Larry... we know truly crappy games when we see them. We are the authorities on that particular subject.

We've certainly got it good. Our generation started off 2D, side-scrolling sprites. We'll probably see the entire evolution of video gaming in our lifetime.

I'll be yacking away about Pacman and Galaga while my grandchildren are plugging dodads into their heads to go online for some virtual multiplayer.
