I see your point... but I think the red ring o' death usually happens when you try starting up the 360, after it has received a "fault code".

My PS3 is vertical and I've never had any problems with it overheating. I've left it on for like 2 days before and it is fine. The only thing I am concerned with for the long run is the dust that may accumulate from the holes on the top of the machine since I leave the machine out on top of an entertainment center table. Never before has it shut off or anything like that either. I guess it's a great idea for it to shut off if it ever does happen though. It'll really show stubborn gamers who's boss!

Question: Do any of you use your PSP as a remote on the PS3? I'm curious to know how well that works.

Can you really do that swiss, i had no clue
