Yep, I bought 2 of them. They're great. I'll still keep a case of batteries around to, I think the max life is like 40hrs or something of playing time with straight batts.

I dont know if you guys know this. But if you're battery packs are dying constantly, dont forget to take them out of the controller. There is a permanent draw when they are connected, if you look closely at the media button, when your xbox is off and controller, you can still see the media button glowing slightly...

10 Minutes and they're baked.
Ever since Darth Vader had problems with his Light Saber and needed the Energizer Bunny to show him the way of the force, I've been a fan.

NUN, i was wondering, in the manual it says that you should use alcaline, LR6 type of batteries. rechargeables are neither. is there any difference over that small detail? is it just an advice, just plain omission of the NiMH AAs or ...... commercial tactics to get you into the play 'n charge and the other recharg. pack.... hmmmm lol. i mean, those are still AAs after all. any more inputs on this?
pd/ lets also not forget about the Duracell bunny. another pink bunny. =D

One thing I noticed after charging my battery, it could have been charging for 3 days and it will still only say its half charged when you press the media button.
I know its not actually half charged because I can use my controller one full day, sleep (don't charge it), and use it all day next day. It still says its half charged.
It doesn't bother me and I don't worry about it, but is this something I should worry about?

Probably not, just seems like a little glitch in the reading of the battery packs. It's nothing serious, but if your battery packs melt in your controller, dont blame me

I'm of the opinion that rechargeable batteries are slightly larger than "regular" batteries... my rechargeables now have scratches down the sides of them from moving them to and from the battery compartment of my controller when they needed a charge.
But now that I got the 360 play and charge kit for my birthday, I don't need to bother with those ripped up batteries anymore!

About rechargeables been larger:
Im not sure if they all do, but don't rechargeable batteries have a plastic casing around them?
I know that the ones I have (don't use them for 360) a plastic casing around them. I don't know what it does though.
The only thing I see on the case is exactly what it says on the actual battery.

I haven't had the chance to look that up, and I will. But I've been using the Rechargeables since I purchased my 360 in October and have had no problems at all, and the Batteries hold a charge for quite a while before having to be recharged again for a whopping 15 Minutes.
Perhaps, Microsoft doesn't speak of rechargeables because they want people to purchase the Plug N Play ?? Which I've been kinda leaning toward purchasing anyway.

You are correct. Most do have a plastic casing around it, its just a printed label though, much the same as a bic lighter. All the big names print their labels on the actual metal casing itself, much the same as soda/beer cans. That's the only reason why they are slightly larger.
