Chea, my controller is close to the xbox 360 so I don't really mind either. I just hate when my batteries run out and I had to charge them.

How about this.
You buy the quick charge kit. The battery packs are rechargable, and you can have 2 packs on one kit. It comes with one. You Can have 3 Rechargable kits and have one on your controller....2 on the recharger, and when one dies, BAM! switch to another, and start charging the one that just died. The next one dies and your old one isn't ready? BAM! The other that's been charging for a long time.
So,
1. On the Controller. The current one that will last for 25 hours
2.On the charger as a back-up
3. On the charger as a back-up back-up

It's quite worth it, and I despise cords even though my game is right next to me. I like to be able to run to the bathroom in between rounds without tearing my game system down off the shelf in the process.

I already have 2x2 batteries so I don't need it. I already have backup.

That's the only problem. You want another pack, prepare to shell out another $12 or so, not to mention the $10 extra you paid over the charge and play kit. I'm not saying the quick charge kit is bad or anything, the charge and play is just better.

i bought that awhile back so i'd have 2 batteries for my 360 controller, and 2 for my digital camera. the big downside to it is that it won't charge just 2 batteries, all 4 have to be in the charger for it to do anything.

i like the play and charge kit anyway simply because not only does it charge the controller, but it also keeps the controller from shutting down in the middle of a movie. i hate having to power on the controller just to pause, rewind, or ff the movie

Say your batteries run out in the middle of a clan match on R6V. With the play and charge, no problem! Plug the wire in and you're all set.

Why can't you do the same thing with the play and charge kit? Play during the day, and charge at night. Does the same thing as the quick charge, but you also have the security of knowing it won't matter if the batteries run out in the middle of a game. Sure, you could buy an extra battery pack for the quick charge so you'll always have a fresh one, but then you're spending $20 more. I don't see how it's worth it, when the play and charge is better anyway.

Yes Marvin, get the play and charge.
You can change the battery pack just as quickly as plugging in the play 'n' charge and you're going to end up getting a second battery pack at some point. The original isn't going to last forever. Better to have the piece of mind knowing that you have a back-up than being SOL. Just my opinion.

I bought the quick charge kit because if I wanted my controler to be wired to my 360, I would have gotten a wired controller. I want it to be wireless so I bought the quick charge. 1 battery dies, the charged one goes on and vice-versa.

I have the play & charge. It's worth the money, does it's job. My only gripe is that the 360 HAS to be on to charge the controller.

I wish I would've bought the quick charge station instead. That thing's always charging as long as the power's plugged in.

I just keep lots of AA batteries in my entertainment center, so just in case my "chargeable" battery runs low, I can go with a backup.

But normally I will throw my controller on charge whenever it runs down to half a charge's worth of battery life... so I've never had to go with "plan B" yet.

That is my point exactly.

You paid an extra $100 for a wireless controller and some other stuff, so why not pay $30 (Or is it $20?) to keep the damn thing wireless?

Its like your paying an extra $20 to get a wired controller instead of paying $30 to keep it wireless.

Although GreenStreak brought up a good point in his respone to my post, I sitll think the quick charge kit is a better option.
