Pan, Playstation 3s are becoming something you can get easy really. At least up here in Michigan. Circuit City has around twenty of them, and the Best Buy has around ten. I called target and said they were expecting a shipment of around twenty themselves.
They were hard to come by when they were first released, but Sony is producing more than they were a month ago.

Im thinkin ps3 is going to continue to kill the competition with the wii and 360.
The only thing that was wrong with the ps3 was a little lag and like 2 or 3 of them over heated like crazy but theres a simple solution to that sit it upright with the stand. Ps3 owns and everyone knows it. SmashMyPs3.com // Screw the Sony PlayStation 3 check that stupid stuff out , look at all them people that waited on it also i waited and didn't even get one

When Christmas 2007 rolls around They'll be flying off the shelves again. The interesting question in my skull is, Will the 360 still out sell the PS3.

I personally dont like these "statistics". i mean god everything looks like a huge jump in sales when you look years down the road. things could go either way years down the road.
i think whats really hurt sony is this "shortage" or should i say supposed shortage of units for christmas. i mean since the 27th of dec i have seen atleast 5 or more at these stores just sitting there (sams club, cosco, best buy, circuit city) im sorry but sony made fools out of the people paying so much for it before christmas. a multi billion dollar company as sony is im sure could have been able to push out more systems before christmas but like usual they plan these "shortages" to push up sales of the ones the sent out and to get that mad rush going. i think in the end these companies will see this only HURTS them.
i mean look at the big picture. the people selling them on ebay for thousands made the profit not sony. if sony had more available at launch THEY would have reaped the benifits, made more customers happy and the bottom line would look much better on paper and in the bank. all game companies need to learn to have a better launch day strategy. i mean this shyt happens EVERY time a system is released and it gets old. if you cant supply atleast 75% of the needs of consumers on launch day or that week push back your release date of the systems. i will get a ps3 for blue ray and some games eventually but i REFUSE to pay over 499.00 for it. i can wait. the 360 has treated me well, the games i have so far are great and truly give me that next gen mouth watering sensation ive been waiting for from the new systems.i could care less which system is truly "better" on paper....... its the games that make or break it!
once again sony, microsoft, nintendo and any newcomers to the next gen system wars needs to realize they need to worry about the supply they offer, the games they offer and not how many they "think" they will sale on name recognition alone. that will only bite you in the azz in the long run. we want quality not estimated numbers of what you think you(game companies) greedy bastads will do over the years etc!

If you don't mind my spoiling of the beginning of Max Barry's novel Jennifer Government, something similar happens in that story.
Nike releases a brand new shoe that everyone wants. It costs hundreds of dollars but every kid in the world wants a pair. To create hype, they release on a few of them. There is a frenzy and to create an even greater demand, Nike hires an assassin to kill a kid and make it look like it was over the shoes.
In an amazing coincidence (or is it?), there was a shooting over a PS3 and you can read Max Barry's comments on that here.

I know when people say this, that they really know WTF they're talking about! (Especially when it involves gaming!)
Glad you're back here again, Lu...
