Xbox Live card points online
Can someone tell me if we can buy those 1250 points on the Xbox live marketplace? If so, can anyone tell me?

Because I heard the 2800 points card got invalid points, as I almost got out to buy it .

Yes you can.

Just go onto the MarketPlace and press "X".

You can select from the following:
  • 500 Points - $6.25
  • 1000 Points - $12.50
  • 2000 Points - $25.00
  • 5000 Points - $62.50

All prices are USD by the way. I don't know conversions.

Funny... I had no problems whatsoever when I redeemed both of the 1600Marketplace point cards that I got for Christmas.

Have you been reading the National Enquirer lately???

No, but i bought 3 cards last month and none of them worked i had to argue at the store to get my money back, and even then they wouldn't give it so i had to get a Xbox Supervisor on the phone >.> ****in gamestop sucks!

but theres even a topic on xbox.com and people are having trouble with 1 year gold cards and point cards.

I wouldn't have thought that there would be any problem with them to be honest.

I just don't want to put my CC details into the system though. I know I have done it when I verified on SOCOM 3, but there's something about XBL that makes me want to stay away.

I know it would be almost impossible to hack XBL without not sleeping for ~2 months, but its just the millions of people on the network and it can take just one person to ruin it by hacking.

I believe you can find converters online that convert from regular currency, into MS points. it just basically tells you "If I pay $X I will get X MS Points.

I will post a link if its alright with everyone.

I will also have to look more into that thing about the cards not working. i hope the problem isn't too wide spread because I almost got a card yesterday if it weren't for lack of $1.

You don't have to worry because i put my credit card in there and i never got robbed, even if they hack they can't get your credit card information, besides you can just enter it and then delete the credit card info if you want so its gone until you enter it next time, credit card numbers are deleted from their server thing the second the money is taken out.

Oh OK thanks, Dante.

I wasn't too worried about them "going missing" but I can never get the thought out of my head.

I didn't know they were deleted when the money was transferred either. That's made my mind rest a little.

Thanks a lot for the info.

I completely agree... that's why I originally thought that the "prepaid cards" were such a good idea.
