$40??? I bought my USB fan (with retractable cord) for somewhere around $19.... and it worked just as well, if not better than, the old Nyko Intercooler that I had on my 360 for a few days.
I think I found the model that I purchased at a Radio Shack or Circuit City... can't remember, it was a while ago when I got it.

And can I ask you as to why you think that the Elite is some magical 360? Every "punchline" of yours is Elite this Elite that. Buying the Elite will not rule out any of these problems, you just get a prettier box to look at while you wait to send it out for repairs. If it looks like an xbox, smells like one, and tastes like one (dont know why you would lick it),its going to break like one.

Do your research man,the Elite doesn't have any of the same problems as the launch 360s.Microsoft started fixing those problems before they started production on the Elite,so it makes no sense why the Elite would have them.

You are not listening. They have fixed absolutely 0, yes that's zero of the problems that have been occuring with the 360. The Elite (which has already been released) has the same, yes, I said SAME (should I underline it this time?) hardware as the two month old 360 I sent back. The Elite is nothing more than a black console with the same piece of **** hardware that has been in the last six 360's I've owned. I'm sorry, but you have no clue whatsoever as to what the hell you are talking about. A black case doesnt magically fix the problems. Get over your black outside fanboyism (yea, I just copyrighted that ****). It's the same as they always have been, crappy hardware. Go out and buy one, I dont care, but dont cry on the forums when your "uber ELite" piece of **** breaks contrary to your belief.

To be slightly fair, I could have sworn that I read somewhere that the Elite had a different chipset... one which runs at 65nm, meaning that it runs slightly cooler than the "older" Core & Premium consoles.
Maybe it was the new issue of OXM? I dunno...

Originally it was slated to have the cheaper "cooler running" chipset, but they actually still have the 90nm one in it. It's too bad too, the 65nm should stop alot of the overheating problems. Although, my console has never overheated yet, so I guess that's one way to have a half full glass.

Mine never overheated, either... but yet it's still out of commission.
Oh, the irony!

Does anyone know if I can use a USB thumbdrive as a memory card? I want to remove my HDD and recover my Gamertag to the thumbdrive to see if the HDD is the cause of my GRAW2 issue.

It would definately be worth a try, don't think it could hurt anything if you did try and it doesn't work.
BTW, whats your issue? I borrowed GRAW2 from a friend but have yet to play it cuz you guys aren't ever on when I am, but if there is problems i may not bother.

A portion of my post is not underlined for emphasis, it is underlined because it is a link to an in-depth explanation of the problem.
