Streaming music to your 360
Last night I discovered yet another amazing feature of my 360: the ability to stream music to it.

This is so much better than loading stuff on the 360 HD, especially when you've got 80+ Gigs of music.

The process was very easy, save for a few catches.

Here's how to do it for Windows, and here's how for Mac.

Tip: Though I'm on Windows, I only use iTunes. To get all of my stuff to stream to the 360 from WMP, I had to delete everything from the Library in WMP (just the library, not the files), and then re-import it all.

Rainbow Six Vegas + Dick Dale = Double the fun factor, and Tarantino-esque shootouts.

I was aware of this untapped treasure....I have 5,000 + Songs on my Pod
maybe if I streamed some Lamb of God to my 360, I won't go 3-10 on R6V online LOL...

I'll be messing with this feature over my Christams Vaca.........

You better have the "Sacrament" album on there man.

I've been toying with putting some of my stuff on my 360 as well. It'd be filled with In Flames, Coal Chamber, DevilDriver, Soulfly and Hatebreed. Great music to own on R6V with.

When you were there the other day and I had 18 kills I was listening to "Loco" by Coal Chamber over and over.

Yep. I'll definitely be putting my Sacrament album on mine.. Right now I have 1695 songs on my iTunes.. and I definitely need some screamo to go with my 360.

Does this work with non MP 11? Because I deleted it, it was buggy for me. I'm on the previous version now.

Although I don't do it, previous WMP versions should work. I would say anything 9 and above?

They only just recently updated it so you could use WMP 11, probably the day before I got the 360. Using WMP versions that were out right around the time XBL was put on the 360 should work, but don't quote me on that.

PS: No more XBL until Christmas for me *cries*, my trial ran out and I would rather my parents pay $50 than me.

i'm not sure what you're asking here, but if you're referring to your network then no it dosen't. my network is all wired and i'm also streaming my music and videos through my 360.

if that's not what you're asking about then disregard this response.

I cant actually hook my computer up to my 360 using a wireless connection.

That doesn't mean you cant do it though.

The computer I am hooking it up to isn't the one with the wireless router, its just another one on the network.

I tried hooked them up using a CAT-5 but then I couldn't get online at the same time.

Its not difficult to do, the only confusing part is trying to hook certain computers up to certain consoles depending on their status on your home network.

I found it easy as hell, and now find myself taking forever to ready up on R6V because I'm looking for a good whoopass album.
