Xbox 360 HD
This is amazing you know the wire that has the six color things right?
I plugged the HD ones in the back of my tv and the yellow and white right next to it, the tv has to be made like this for it to work, now power that baby up and look at the diffrence of the lighting and stuff, the TV will look like a HDTV! but "DONT PUT THE SWITCH TO HD" leave the switch on TV, i found this out by experimenting....
and my TV is standard
Edit: Ima make a picture brb!

I can't really say for sure, as I didn't need to do what he did, because I already have an HDTV to play my Xbox 360 on.
Sorry.

Please try and find a picture. I don't know about this, it sounds like you had to do it a couple times to make it work. That's weird how it can look like an HD TV when it's not an HD TV.

On the back of a SD TV theres a part with 5 ports instead of 3, it has a Red Blue Green White and Yellow port. Plug all the SD wire plugs into the port except the red one and then plug the HD ones into the ports and thats it, it will look better then it did before, even if you have SDTV!

Durr...This whole post is about plugging in component cables?! Of course its going to give you a slightly better picture, its sending each color individually. Not to mention, its not an SDtv its and EDtv, if it has components that means it can display at least 480p. Sheesh, this is like cable connection 101 ... And its six ports not five, you gotta have two for stereo sound. There'll be the RGB ports, and standard AV ones (YRW). If you hook it up like that, switch the selector to "HD" mode and in the "display" menu of the dashboard, change it to 480p. I'm assuming that, hopefully you know the native resolution (aka:480p,720p, etc..) since if you have a SDTV with component hookups, then its actually an EDTV.

Well, then you have the only tv manufactured without stereo sound since the 70's... Also, there's no need to plug in the yellow wire, since its RGB video, where then what would be the purpose of using each individual RGB colors? Are you sure your tv hookup isnt component only? Where yes it would have 5, but it wouldnt have a yellow female port, it would have a red one for sound. I think you need to look again or something, your info has got to be wrong. Unless for some god forsaken reason, where you live magically uses a wholly seperate cabling system then the HDCP and the rest of the free world for SDTV,EDTV,and HDTV connections.
