XBL Marketplace Question
I was wondering how Microsoft runs their Marketplace updates?? Is it like Socom, where they upadate early in the morning between set times or is it sporadically at any time throughout the day up into the evening ???

My gut instinct tells me that it's a sporadic thing with their Marketplace releases... I'm still eagerly anticipating the Ultimate MK3 patch... but I'll gladly take the Saints Row update over that patch any day of the week. I miss playing Saints Row online!

I'll just stick to playing the Rainbow Six Vegas demo off of the disc that I received a week ago... but good information, regardless.

I like the update that I downloaded with the new online marketplace graphics and touchups. I guess they're trying to polish some things up before the PS3 comes out.

I also just read that a small amount of peeps were having problems after downloading the update.....

IGN: Upgrade Your 360 with Caution

This is always my biggest fear. I used to hear about Playstation Demo discs wiping out Memory Cards. I used to remove my memory card before I ever put in a Demo Disc. Which, is totally different, I'm just saying I'd hate to get my Gear wiped out.

Given the lack of information that Sony's released about the online "setup" for the PS3, I don't think Microsoft is too worried about that.

But I agree about liking the new "look" of the Xbox 360 dashboard. It's definitely easier on the eyes...

Doesn't worry me too much... I have the two year extended warranty, and I have no plans to mod my 360. I'd only be worried if Microsoft's customer service personnel were the same people who run Sony's customer service.

Microsoft's customer service > Sony's customer service

I knew your update went okay after seeing you online the other night for Saints Row...

The article that you supplied in your post said that the "brick error" only affected about 1% of the Xbox 360 owners... so that's a number that I can certainly deal with.

I saw the 1%, which I don't really see how 1% could be a credible reason for the article. But I posted in case any of our VGF Brotheren fell into that percentile.
