Your friend can buy stuff on his discount for you... he just cant enter it in when u buy it... like your friend has to buy it from the manager in which the manager enters it in. But your friend can buy it for u.

Sence theres limited ps3's out there, I wouldnt think eb or gamestop would do something like that. Now at walmart, you could put one on lay-a-way.

I am a Circuit City Employee, at the Great Lakes Crossing in Michigan. I will say, WE DO NOT GET A DISCOUNT ON THE PS3. I had to pay full price for everything. Once again, you don't get a discount on the PS3 working at Circuit City.

All stores everywhere will not let you purchase actual systems with a discount even if you work there. You can get all the accessories though with a discount.

EB Games would be wise to do a charge card. Obviously, It's not kids that are playing games or buying $ 300 + Dollar consoles anymore. I'm sure if they did, their interest would be outrageous though. I'm a bleeding heart that believes everybody should get a fair shake at everthing.

As far as employee discounts go, I used to work for Outback Steakhouse and got 50 % off of Food, which I thought was a steal, and actually kept me there for a while, among other things . But the way I see it Car Salesman get discounts on cars, and employees at electronic store of any kind should get something off, even if it's an insulting 5%. Greed is rampant anymore and it disgusts me.

While I would agree, they don't. The Playstation 3 has such a high cost. It would be a loss for the company to offer something on that.

Actually, Circuit City Employees get horrid discounts. We do not get anything off the PS3, the games, or the add-ons. It totally sucks, but I still bought one.

Umm...some places have where you can pay 60$ a month or something...
I've read it in their Sunday ads. Circuit City maybe, but I was thinking Best Buy has a payment plan. Maybe not PS3 specifically, but you might be able to work it out at the place.
