My thoughts on the PS3 vs 360 fiasco

And i totally agree with that, but hearing people slander the PS3 when they dont own it is annoying, so firing back with my complaints of the 360 is no different.

How can it rock for the PS3 if it isnt even out yet? Besides all I heard were bad things about Sonic on the 360.

I think the days of Sonic are over. But I do like playing the orginal on my Wii.

I was surprised to see how bad the reviews for Sonic have been. But in the end it doesn't really matter, I grew out of Sonic Circa Sega Genesis. I'm sure it doesn't help that they're charging $60.00 Clams for a $30.00 aged Franchise game.

I agree with you... and for the record, if Microsoft ever decided to release the original Sonic game on Xbox Live Arcade... I'd download that game in a second! The original Sonic game was the best of the bunch, in my opinion.

A Couple Things:


1) MGS4 will not go to the 360. Kojima has shot down that rumor more times than he shot down the rumor about uwe bowlle or whatever his name is directing a MGS movie. They didn't release MGS3 on the Xbox, and Substance sold like ****, so there goes the hope konami would force him to do it so they get the money.

2) The PS3 is a game system first, Blu-ray player second. Just because all games are blu-ray now dosent mean the system is a dedicated blu-ray player. The ps2 could play DVD movies too, and all of the games were released on dvd's, but it was still a game system first.

3) As of now, the only worthy exclusives I can think of for the 360 are Halo, Gears of War (GeOW), and now Splintercell (SC) (rumor in IGN's wii article for double agent at end say conviction is 360 exclusive). PS3 still has MGS, Ace combat (Even if it's not as popular as, say, GTA, it still is once of the best series around.), SOCOM (will only continue to be truly worthwhile if they go back to the roots, Socom or Socom 2), Final Fantasy (FF) (not personally into it that much), Grand Turismo (GT), God of War (GOW), and, now that is, Resistance.

I would only buy a ps3 souley to get final fantasy 13 and 7 if they remake it i don't particulary like x box that much, PS3 OWNS.

And allow me to tell others about my personal experiences with gaming consoles... back in the day (pre-PS2 days), I was one of the more devout (loyal) Sony followers. I lived and breathed Sony gaming. I was devastated when Sony's PS1 "killed" the hope of the Sega Dreamcast... after time, I got over that feeling. I was one of the 250,000 (or whatever the exact number is) that waited in line overnight for a PS2. I was more than happy with the PS2 at that time... fast forward to a couple of "disc read error" mishaps with my PS2, dealing with their (in my opinion) completely worthless customer service, and I was more than ready for a change. I would tell anyone within shouting distance that I would rather be dead than give Bill Gates any of my money for his new baby, the Xbox. Low and behold, I purchased an Xbox when the price dropped to $149... I GAVE IT A CHANCE. And to this day, I feel like I at least expanded my views on Gates' machine. I waited months to get the 360 after it launched... and I couldn't be happier! I just wish others out there would give something half a chance before they decide to condemn it with comments like: "It's garbage."

my story is almost exactly the same, im so glad i gave the xbox a chance, i was actualy finding it hard to decide, but after thinking it over and deciding that the 360 is the best way to go, besides, i do see a next gen nintendo and microsoft system with backwards capabileties but no PS4, oh well sony, had some fun, but nintendo is more explorative and microsoft knows how to make us happy. so with a wii and a 360 what more could u want? an extra few hundred bucks for blue-ray? no thanks, im fine with my DVD player.

if microsoft goes handheld sony might have to drop out for good, think about it, the Xbox 180? the MicroBox? im seeing maybe 1 more sony portable system, nintendo will always live on, for better (wii, ds) or for worse (64, virtual boy) sony seems to care too much about graphics and hd
