I returned my first 20gb at target with out a reciept. It was the first month the system was out they were in shock I was returning it. Later that day I bought the 60gb thats how I ended up with one 20gb and one 60gb. Oh and when I returned it I forgot to put talidega night back in it and they didn't even notice.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up in this thread before (because I'm too lazy to check). Anyone know if there is a way to upgrade a 40gb PS3 and make it backward compatible? I'd really like to play the new MGS1, 2, and 3 pack before MGS4 comes out, but I don't have a PS2. Thanks.

Nope. It's a matter of hardware. You'd essentially need to take the innards out of the 80gb model, and smack them into the 40gb model.
Way to screw the pooch, Sony.

Yep, that sucks... Well whatever. I'll guess I'll have to miss out on the first three MGS's.

Only if you're talking about MGS4... that game will rule.

I just noticed something on my PS3, and I have a question;
The orange-ish flashing light near the USB ports, what's it for/do?

That means you are streaming data from the HDD, or saving data to the HDD...pretty much means the HDD is active in some way shape or form. Turning off the system while that light is blinking is a NO NO.

That's your career dissipation light, and it's just gone into overdrive...
But seriously... it's actually what zero just explained...
