I've only downloaded a couple movies throughout the whole year, but I kind of always like to have a hard copy of almost anything media related, so thats why im not all jumping on the fact that you would have to pay the same price for somthing you get less of(downloading). The only reason im so excited about the netflix is becuse i can download tons more movies in one month with only having to pay a flat fee, and invite my friend with a netflix account to watch with me and reinact mystery science theater 3000. But the PSN has a nice service still, im just cheap like that sorry.

I really dont see how netflix on the 360 will be THAT great. Honestly, the PS3 system works pretty much perfectly (at least for me so far). The only real problem is that there is a lack of selection but I can see why (just got put up for public use...). And, I can't imagine wanting to download an entire movie off of XBL, as even downloading a 32mb song for rock band can take up to 5 minutes sometimes.

The fact that you don't technically have to download the movie (in order to watch it) sounds like a bonus to me.
You don't even have a 360 anymore... why even bother thinking about it?

I recovered my gamertag on my roomates older 360 that we keep in the living room because i spent alot of money on rockband/guitar hero III songs, and if you can convince me its better I'd use it :). If you dont have to dload, does it just stream it or what? Do they have hd movies? I like being able to download the movie onto my external HDD thats hooked into my ps3, and watch it wherever.

From what I have heard from other people, you will be able to stream movies to your 360. As far as HD movies go, I am not 100% certain.
I'm just glad that I have an existing Netflix account... one less step involved for me to get the movies that are on my list.
And I took you off of my 360 friend's list once I thought you were "done" with playing that console... or whatever your words exactly were.

No thats fines creep, the only games you'll see my gamertag playing are rock band or GH3, my xbl account is expired and i'm not going to spend money on it. The only money we spend is on songs like I've already said.

Someone told me that Netflix's online movie streaming/downloading service barely has any good movies.
Is this the same service that will be on the 360?

I guess if you consider over 12,000 movies with more added every month "barely any good movies", then I suppose that statement's true.

Downloading the movies doesn't take as long as you might think, and while it's downloading you can watch the movie as it streams, so a few minutes before you start the movie is not a big deal. But the reason it's so great is becuse i can either wait 10 minutes and get some movies off my queue, or wait a day or so and get it in the mail. Convenience is what it's all about my friend. Pay per movie is really not something I'm interested in.

My little controller problem is definitely a major system problem. I noticed just now that when I got the message "Wireless Controller has been disconnected" that the light on my flash drive also goes off.
So it seems that whole system just crashes, even though games may still run as though it's paused.
And it's definitely a hardware issue. I formatted by PS3 a couple weeks ago. So, definitely calling Sony, maybe as early as tomorrow. So I'll probably end up missing the Confrontation Public Beta Maybe I can talk one of my friends into letting me go to his house and play it on his PS3.
