I don't think you can use -'s in your GT.
But I'm getting my 360 tuesday or thursday along with R6V and XBL I think if not then january for live.

Names can't have dashes, SugerFreeCookies is too long, a name can only be 14 Characters long.

if you have a hotmail account then you can use that name as your gamertag. ex. SCOWL13@HOTMAIL. COM is mine so my tag is SCOWL13.

if your 360 isn't set up yet then you can try signing up for a hotmail account over the net with whatever tag you want and that will pretty much reserve your tag unless it's already taken.

I use hotmail as my main email, so if we have to enter are email to register for XBL(Which I'm guessing you do), will it make our hotmail autmoticly are name?....

BTW, do you buy XBL from the store, lol, register? or what?

Well you could buy a Gold Membership for a year at the store (But i heard those are having trouble.) or you could connect to XBL on your 360 and then go to the marketplace and buy your membership from there which is better because i heard alot of those cards from the store are getting the message invalid.

and also you get to choose your Users Name, it can't be longer then 14 Letters/Numbers, the email address you give them is where you will recieve update emails and newsletters, and also is the email you will use to access your account on Xbox.com. Good Luck!

Yes you can , you automatically get a silver membership, and with that of course duh, you access the marketplace and buy a Gold Membership with your credit card which lets you play on XBL and do other stuff silvers can't do, i'm guessing i'll see you on XBL tomorrow? lol, then we can own some noobs .

Edit: DO NOT MAKE A GAMERS TAG NOW, do it when you set up your 360, just so you get offered a free month of XBL Gold.
