Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
F.E.A.R.-The pc version was amazing and if they can make the controls tight and responsive for the xbox360 (which shouldn't be too hard) it will be great. It will look even better than the pc game as it will feature more lighting effects etc(don't give me any ******** cuz the devs said so themselves in an IGN interview). Plus it has additional content like a new weapon, a new level and an inticing new game mode that lets you jump straight into combat against the F.E.A.R. AI and see how many foes you can take down. You can also compare your stats in this game mode on Xbox Live. It sounds like an excellent way to give the game additional replay value. I can picture myself after getting bored with the singleplayer, just sitting down for an intense shootout with the AI on its highest level of difficulty.
Gears of War- I usually stick to first person shooters and only stray into third person games if they are extremely good and critically acclaimed. So far the only third person action titles i have bought are God of War and GRAW. Gears of War just might change my outlook on the genre. It manages to blend brief run and gun moments with intense standoffs where you have to stick to cover consistently. It looks like it's unique gameplay style, tremendous graphics and gory art style and presentation will make a huge hit with mature gamers. Hopefully, with a good lobby and some good servers it will be the next big thing in online games.Plus we know that it will not be a flop since its in good hands with developers Epic.
COD3- I never played COD but I loved COD2 for 360, I have beaten the single player mode on veteran and still revisit it sometimes and I am heavily involved in the online multiplayer. Activision and treyarch seem to be carrying the game in exactly the direction i think it needs to go in. I believe that in the next generation WW2 games are going to have to start adding in more destructible environments as to add to the level of immersion. I mean thats what war is like right? Bombs and grenades blasting the landscape to bits every few seconds. I though COD2 lacked destructible environments but the devs are making sure that the third installment definately won't. Along with the destructable environments COD3's visuals have been significantly improved, with more amazing and realistic smoke effects, great lighting and an insane amount of detail and consistant texturing. So far COD3 looks to be one of the best looking next gen games along side Gears of Wars, Unreal tournament 2007 etc.
