I even went an extra step for cooling my 360... in addition to having a Nyko Intercooler on my 360, I purchased a handheld fan from Bed Bath & Beyond for $9.00; which runs on AA batteries. I place that fan on the HDD side of my 360 when I plan on playing it for a prolonged period of time... nothing but cool air around the 360.
