Wow calm down when you have your 360 standing up its possible the disc moved inside causing a scratching hell
also possible your 360 is no good one of them two
Fact Of The Matter Is when a game is playing try not to touch the 360 or it will be scratched
I've never had a problem with any of my games being scratched though.
if you're driving somewhere and then suddenly drive your car into a wall guess what happens.........that's right, you "scratch" the car! but i guess that's not your fault for driving into the wall, your car is just a problematic POS.
mmm, well, with the new software i wouldn't be suprised if they are more fragile, also if the disks are always breaking then HD-DVD makes more money because they sell more to the game manufacture's who sell them to the gamers, so the only people loosing out will be us, what a suprise.

New software, more fragile? And HD-DVD manufacturers arent going to make any money. All Xbox360 discs are printed on dual-layer dvd. In all reality with the new game compression devices being incorporated by dev. most 360 games use less space then regular xbox and ps2 discs. For an example, Oblivion, its a huge game and also uses the most disc space of any 360 games, it only uses 57% of the dual-layer dvd. Most use about 25-35% at the moment.

Um havnt you heard? The HD-DVD being released for the 360 is only for movies, not games. So this isnt gonna help the game developers in any way. Unless they want to release a movie with there game, but other then that, no.
Sucks to hear some people's x-box 360's are scratching there games. Mine on the other hand has been working tip top. I also got the intercooler for it and it really helps. the air that used to come out of the 360 was extremely hot. Now it is half the temperature. Never had a game freeze and have had the console on for upto 8 hrs. I guess its just the luck of the draw with launch consoles. dont excpect the ps3 to be bug free. Some will experience the same and different bugs just part of the mass production.

Its not just the launch 360's that are breaking. My five month old (MNF date 3/14/06), and actual two month old(when I bought it), died on Tuesday. My buddy is now having the same problem I started having, and has to return his console as well. His was manufactured in the same month. If you're having problems with it freezing in game, you might as well send it in now. Mine froze once in the past the first day I had it. I put SR in on Tuesday, it froze, and just kept freezing, I then put in all my other games and they proceeded to do nothing but freeze.
And mass production, should not be an excuse for subpar product quality, and really, why doesnt the console have a 1-year MNF warranty? And yes Ps2, had a few problems, but they also didnt charge their customers $100.00's to repair their broken product, that was less than a year old from the launch date (kinda like 360 is now).

Care to bet on this? Sony charged me $100 to send in my PS2, and they didn't even make the correct repairs in the first place. So please stop with the "holier than thou" Sony rhetoric. Thanks.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
I have had my 360 since launch date, and no problems with it ( even being on up to 6 hours at a time. Does get really hot though ). I also have not tried to do jumping jacks with my sytem in hand while powered up.
