At what age did you start playing video games?

I was just wondering how old everyone was when they first started playing video games / were exposed to them.

I started playing video games about 15 years ago, so at the age of 5. My first exposure to video games came on the NES while playing Super Mario Bros 3, and I've been playing them ever since.

I was 2. My oldest brother was living with me and my parents before he joined the Marines and he got me into Super Mario 3. By time I was 3 I could beat my dad.

My nephew (son of my oldest brother) is into video games now. He got a V-Smile on his third birthday and an N64 from a friend a few months later. Although he hasn't quite learned how to take losing.

I don't know what age I was first started playing them, but I remember playing video games when I was four. Played the Mario/Duck Hunter on Nintendo.

I think I was around 7 or 8 when I first started playing games.

My step dad gave me his son's MegaDrive (Genesis) and a few games. At that time I was also playing on his PlayStation, and then got my own around 1998/9.

Around the time Dizzy the egg game came out on the commador 64. Awesome

I was 5. My dad bought an atari 7800 for me and alot of games. I remember having chicken pox and I played the crap out of it for a week. I guess that means I been playing for the last 23 years. Thats older then most of the members on here.

I'm not sure, but I think I was around 5 or 6? I had a ZX81, which I remember running off to play while Star Wars was on TV, because I thought it was boring. I didn't play that very much, but then I had a Spectrum, which I played loads and totally opened me up to video games.

I must have been very young, I used to go the arcades all the time when I was 4 or so. My first system was super nintendo though.

I was 2, so only an 18 year game veteran. 19 soon since I'll be 21 in November.
