Oblivion is a damned good game, easily over a hundred hours of your life will disappear, which is a lot for an offline game.
I wish I had bought Socom 1 when it came out. Socom 2 was the title that got me into online gaming, perhaps with S1 I wouldn't have spent an extra year playing offline.

I played a bit of Oblivion, but I never even came close to finishing it. I couldn't get hooked. Leveling up was too hard. And, I always got attacked by the guards for stealing small ****.

Speaking of Oblivion, Morrowind is another game I should play more of. It was really fun and all and it had a lot in it, but I couldn't stand the combat set up. Now it's even worse because I have Oblivion, so if I try to play Morrowind I simply can't.

Personally, I think they're lying through their teeth by saying this to you. Having more destructible cover objects and the sprint button in Vegas 2 alone makes it better than Vegas 1 (to me, anyway).

Great friggin' game, and I recommend it to anyone who has a PS3, and haven't played it. As a matter of fact, I just conquered the story mode yesterday, and I thought it was a pretty good ending, all things considered. Now I am hoping that they make a series out of it...

I watched a review of that on XPLAY. It looks like a Gears of War style shooter, buy more like an every-man action here type of dude as your hero.

And I found it to be a helluva lot more fun than playing any of the (newer) Tomb Raider games.
Plus the "achievements" (the PS3 version of them) are fun to unlock...

Grim Fandango, thats a game I didn't think twice about ignoring... but now it sounds very enticing. And the Discworld game, Noir I think it was, I am extremely unhappy that I didn't get around to playing that. Terry Pratchett's books have been around my whole life but it took me 27 years to find them... 27 wasted years... playing that game probabl would have made me buy the books.
I've never played Pacman, and I don't regret that one bit!

Only people that played R6V1 into the ground will say the first one was better. They say this because R6V2 is pretty much identical to the first one, with the exception of the sprint button, and being able to shoot through some objects.
R6V2 is a good game. It's a lot different than COD4 though, so brace yourself for that. It's all about tactics in R6V2. If you get it before GTA IV just play with me and my crew. We'll help you out.

the entire Halo series. I'm sorting that out now, but to be honest, it's playing out exactly how I expected, and exactly why I never got into a lather about it in the first place. It's not a bad game by any means, but neither is it the second coming many will proclaim.
I also want to get round to playing the Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion. It's been sat on my desk for about 6 months but something else always comes along that tempts me away, and I hardly ever play PC games anymore... I feel like such a sell out. Oh well, roll on Dragon Age!
