I really like the first four series of Call of Duty for it was set during WW2 and modern warfare...if the Call of Duty 5 is set for futuristic battles just leave it to HALO

Finally...more Russian warfare. I absolutely loved the Russian campaign in the older COD's and I'm glad they're bringing that back. And as far as the Pacific, that could be great or horrendous. As long as they don't make levels that anchor you to an emplaced weapon, or make too many defense levels, it could be fine. I swear, if I'm going to have to defend against kamikaze attacks using an AA gun on a battleship, I'll kill myself. No doubt they'll do it though...can't have a Jap fight without bonzai attacks.
I would think an Iwo level would be quite impressive. Maybe we'll even get to drop the atomic bombs...

If it was activision, Red, I'd actually think that that could become a reality, and tug at our heartstrings in addition to that. However, since it's treyarch, i'm expecting a lot of annoying vehicle segments and bad game flow.

Sad, but true.

I'm not going to be a fan of the tree climbing if that ends up in the final version of multiplayer. IMO, it will just encourage what drove a lot of us (or at least me and other various members of [S3] away from COD4 - camping).
But it would be awesome if we could shake the trees until the person in it falls out and dies, or at least gets wounded badly. That would provide some good laughs.

They should have the trees destructible like in Battlefield: Bad Company if you're allowed to climb them.
In BC, if you shoot a tree enough (depending on what type of weapon and the caliber, etc.), it will splinter and break at the line you shot it.

That's a neat feature to have in a game, and people can't call it unrealistic either. I remember watching the Mythbusters episode in which they tested exactly what you stated, and found it to be true. I'd rather just see the ability to shoot trees down then to have players having the ability to actually climb and set up camp up there.

We will all have to hope that other game developers receive this memo, and decide that this is an excellent idea, as well.
I, for one, think it's an great kind of addition for games like it.

Regardless, I doubt they'll get it right, much less the entire game.
