From what I remember, it took only one informal interview for me to get hired over there... it was around the holiday season (their busiest part of the year), so I think they were making the interviews short and sweet. They probably checked my employment record before the first interview was finished, but I have no idea for sure. One of the easiest interviews I have ever had to do.

But back on topic...

They scored The Club at an 8 out of 10 in the new OXM magazine... so it sounds to me like there is still hope for this game. I will probably put a reservation down on this game in a day or two...

Well, I got the job and I start my (paid) training Monday.

Anyway, I really think my problem with this game was I had a tough time learning the controls. Shooters is definitely my favorite genre, so I imagine I'd like The Club demo more after I had the controls down.

As a matter of fact, I just preordered a copy of it on my way home from class this afternoon, and the both the manager and I couldn't stop throwing bouquets in the direction of this game. I never thought of it before, but he kind of classified it as being a racing/shooter game... seeing as how you are rewarded for consecutive combos, and how fast you can kill, having the sprint button, etc etc.

Doesn't matter to me what kind of game it's classified as... I like it.

I can see how this game would not appeal to folks. It is a fast-paced game that takes precise aim and a run 'n gun attitude. I just assume that with all of the games out there that take strategic movements and great teamwork, this game is as far from that as it can be, in my humble opinion.

To me, this game appears to be a great demo and has tremendous potential. This game reminds me of my gaming style when I would roll with the famous [FU] clan on "Socom 2"! I was always the idiot that would just sprint across the screen blasting anything that moved! I can do the same thing in "The Club". I really enjoy the scoring system as well. I like the fact that combos will increase your score very quickly! You can call me excited for the release of this game. I just hope my lag helps me as much in "The Club" as it did in "Socom 2"

LMAO... who knows? It probably will.

I'm finally starting to get the 1,000,000+ scores now whenever I play the demo... you just have to play above the "casual" difficulty, and they throw more enemies at you. The only key to getting a score like that is to (of course) keep a long string of combos going... preferrably head shots. You get HUGE multipliers for consecutive head shots...

My copy of "The Club" has been paid for! I will be a happy camper as I drive home from work on the 19th knowing that I can just walk in and pick up my game!

Congrats on the million points, Creep! I have yet to venture outside of the casual setting, but I will do so soon! I had a score of around 350k last night and was wondering how I would be able to obtain a higher score on a more diffictul setting. I amm now happy to hear you say that there will be more enemies!

LMAO... this demo is like 50 times better on the PS3 when using the DualShock 3 controller... it's nice having the rumble back.

Brings me back to the happier days on the PS2... only without the hassle of a cord being attached to the controller.

When playing S2, I did not even have my "cord" hooked up to my PS2. I just unhooked the CAT 5 and waited to see what would happen.....LOL J/K!

What benefit does the rumble offer? Are you now switching over to buy a copy on the PS3?

Not really a benefit as much as its a comfort factor... just reminds me of the good ole PS2 days when I hold the new controller.

And no, I am not buying my copy of this game on PS3... I already preordered my copy, and I don't feel like changing it around. Achievements alone have me going to 360 game ports before I'll rock the PS3 copy.

I mean, the only real reason I played AC on the PS3 was because my 360 was in the shop and I could borrow a copy of the game from my brother.

So I have to get this on 360 and renew my gold status on XBL? Am I made of money or something? Lucky for me, my b-day is next week so I won't have to pay for either one.
