Yes. Because that's what bothers me the most about it.
And after reading the current OXM magazine I got in the mail yesterday they stated pretty much the same thing that bothers me. As far as the NFS similarities there is also the fact that there are now several short cuts you can take in the race instead of battling it out through the length of the track. A shortcut here and there every once in while is alright, but not everywhere ala Need For Speed / Midnight Club.
Another crucial dissaponment is that they've removed the CRASH mode altogether which was what made past Burnout games so much fun. Also gone is the Medals earned for every mode. In short the Burnout series was once outstanding because it was a unique arcade racer, now it seems to be bothering too much from ideas and modes from far inferior racing games.
Hopefully, the final product proves me wrong.
