Nice video. I've been trying to make some myself. The in-game system is decent, but I can never find my videos on the skate website. I guess they're still working out the bugs.
And how the hell do you do that laydown grind?

The game looks interesting... I'll give it that much... and this is coming from a guy that broke his leg (a spiral fracture, I might add) skating when he was younger.
That damn accident laid me out for the entire summer that year...

Yeah, the skate.Reel isn't good right now...
But to coffin, you hold RT+LT+B ... you can do it regularly, so you luge, or in the air, as a coffin grab, and hold it and land like that, or you can do it in the air and land on the rail. =]

Thanks for the tip! I now know what 30 minutes of my evening will be spent doing.
For sake of discussion, and because I don't feel like searching, does anyone know if there'll be any for of multiplayer for this?
Like you and some peeps at the skate park? Just skating and chit-chatting.
I know a good number of people that'll be getting this, and it'd be a waste to play on your own all the time.

Well, all I can find on the topic is this canned message:
Online gameplay: skate. features an extensive online gameplay system including multiple online multiplayer modes. Gamers can hit up popular spots in the city with friends across the country.
There's an interview with two of the producers on the skate website, in which they talk about a s.k.a.t.e. game mode (think horse), and another one.
They also talk about how they had to drop female characters from the game because of the way physics effect the female body differently, or something like that. So no bails & boobies this time around.
IGN says this: "Online, other players will be able to jump in and session with you at anytime. "

There is an online.
"Q: How many players are able to play online at the same time?
A: Skate will allow up to 6 players to freeskate, or compete against eachother in various game modes."
EA Forums: Skate Information Thread ...
"In the game:
Danny Way, Rob Dyrdek, Chris Cole, PJ Ladd, Jason Dill, Jerry Hsu, Mark Gonzales, Dennnis Busenitz, Mike Carroll, Ryan Gallant, Ryan Smith, John Rattray, Colin Mckay, Pat Duffy, Paul Rodriguez, Terry Kennedy, Chris Haslam, Ali Boulala and Alex Chalmers."
Wow. For anyone who is or was once into skating, that's a sick lineup.

Awesome info.
September 12th can't come soon enough.
Great link too. This tidbit especially ...
"Q: How large is San Vanelona? I think the devs are lying when they tell us how big it is...
A: They aren't. The city is enormous! They say it takes 10-12 minutes to cross the entire thing from the most northern part to the most southern part, and it’s true. Of course, that is only 1 direction, there is still east and west to worry about. I played 4 zones in the game out of 14, and that was enough for a game already."
Free-roam right off the bat, and no load screens in-game.

How could you not? The demo's so addicting, and easy. Even my Viva Piniata-addicted wife can play it.
