I miss skating...My current Avatar is an Old-School, Mike Vallely, Powell Peralta Deck Graphic. Whenever I watch the X-Games and I see Bucky and Danny, I shake my head in disgust at my Age. LOL
It's funny how we think the opposite with Decks. I find the Old-School Fatties easier with more foot space, while the New Decks are like the Free Style Decks of Old. Ala Rodnney Mullen..Steve Harris

Hahaha, it's all about the times. I grew up on new boards, and grabbed and old one for fun. You grew up on fatties, just the opposite. Hehe.

Chris Cole, Thrasher Skater Of The Year, is probably one of the best skaters to ride a board. Geoff Rowley is also a really talented skater. Some of the new Am's are getting really good. They are the future of skating.

To me... P Rod is the future of skating at this point.

Yes, he is the future of skating, but all the new ams are going bigger and better. Justin Figeuroa, Shaun Stultz, Taylor Smith, David Loy. I could go on...

I haven't been on a board since I was 16. I'd just look like an old guy trying to be cool now.

Definetly the best years of my life....
I still skate from time to time in my driveway. I have a Long Driveway so I'll skate up to mailbox to get the mail, or to meet someone at the road who's never been over before. What's scares me is, I have no consideration for my age, I'll still be tooling around on a skateboard and diving into mosh pits. I'm such a Childish Man-Cub
On Topic: I totally read over the fact that this game is being developed by EA, which leads me to believe this will be a game of quality.

I've stopped skating too, but I skated for about 4 years, 6th grade or so through about 9/10th grade. Great times, within that time frame I was also part of the main group of people that raised $200,000 for a skatepark in our town. My brother and a few others (The "chairmen") received Red Cross awards for Community Impact. Those were probably the best years of my life, thus far :)
Anywho, you asked when it came out. I believe the article I read in PSM said Spring of '07
Development by EA is a good thing as well. I'm hoping this game will just dominate THPS in all ways and takeover, garner an exponential profit, and release a second game to make my dreams come true.

I have been skating for 6-7 years now. I don't think I'm gonna stop yet.

Since everyone is throwing in their fav. skaters. I would have to say my fav. street skater is RODNEY MULLEN (the best, hands down, no contest, if you say otherwise, you've never seen him). And for vert, I dont know, for some reason I've always been a Tony Hawk fan. These days the talent pool is amazing though, and it's unbelievable watching 11 year olds throw down with the big boys.
I hope its good game. Cause nothing about EA really screams good games to me. I mean they are basically hit or miss, and most of their hit games are from long standing properties (and also the only official NFL game).
