I wasn't eye rolling you... I was eye rolling the fact that someone decided to "borrow" his old avatar.

Danny Way isn't much of a skater, he's just known because he did the largest gap ever and pioneered skateboarding's equivalent of Big Air competitions. In my opinion, it's pretty boring, and doesn't take much talent.

PJ Ladd is an amazing street skater, if you (anyone) are into skating watch PJ Ladd's Wonderful Horrible Life, it's great video.

On to the game... it made the cover of PSM last month? Maybe the month before? Ether way, I nearly pooped my pants, but I didn't go full CapEmCrunch on it It seems to be the exact game that me and my friends used to dream up. We always play Tony hawk games realistically, which is pretty hard considering you can't get much more unrealistic than the latest versions. We sued to hope and dream that we would get a REAL skating game at some point, this seems to be it.

To me, the name fits. Simple, clear, and real. Skate.

I can't wait for it.

He used to be when I used to Skate. ( Which was so long ago )
Danny Way was only maybe 6 to 10 Years of Age and blowing away adult Pros when I watching him do Demos. He was one the youngest of the Pros back when boards were thick.

Ahhhh, I suppose I should have said that he isn't much in todays standards, where street skating dominates.

By the way, I think old school boards are way more fun to skate, simply because they're more challenging. :)

Danny Way is all Vert these days from what I've seen. Back in the Day Danny Way and Bucky Lasek were pint sized ( sp?) and joined at the hip and just shredding.
I miss skating...My current Avatar is an Old-School, Mike Vallely, Powell Peralta Deck Graphic. Whenever I watch the X-Games and I see Bucky and Danny, I shake my head in disgust at my Age. LOL

It's funny how we think the opposite with Decks. I find the Old-School Fatties easier with more foot space, while the New Decks are like the Free Style Decks of Old. Ala Rodnney Mullen..Steve Harris

Finally, some type of skating thread. I have been skating for 6 years now and I still suck, but I don't care. I'm not in it to be good, I'm in it because I love it. I feel that if I quit skating, I would be nothing. Pj Ladd in his Wonderful Horrible Life video is amazing. Chris Cole, Thrasher Skater Of The Year, is probably one of the best skaters to ride a board. Geoff Rowley is also a really talented skater. Some of the new Am's are getting really good. They are the future of skating.

On topic, this game looks amazing. It will totally blow away any skating game to come out for the next 5 years. 10 maybe, but who cares? I saw some of it on Rob & Big and it looked insane.
