Could somone tell me about some of the Assault Rifles/Sniper Rifles and the maps?

Don't even worry about sniping. You can get a scope on every Assault Rifle, and even Submachine gun in the game. There's a few from Socom, 552 is there, Ak is there. Aside from that there's... I don't know. TEAM FAMAS FTW!! Bamf :)

There's the FAMAS. Meh, they're all pretty decent. There aren't that many "bad guns" that I've seen so far. Everything seems to be decent. All the subs are accurate like woah.

There's an M40, and a couple other snipers. There's not really much open space for sniping, and quicksniping is pretty rough (I've been trying). There's only a couple maps with sniping possibilities, unless you want to sit in one spot forever just waiting for someone to run through you. Even in that case, an Assault Rifle > because you just grab a scope on it. I find sniping rather easy on this game, the scope recoil is god in my opinion. It seems to bounce just right for me quite often.

Shotguns are incredibly sweet.

Pistols are meh, Model 18 blows.

That's about it.

Yea, I dont think its really possible to quciksnipe in Rainbow, although I dont have it, I have played the demo, and the reticle acts nearly identical to the one in GRAW. This makes it pretty much impossible to quicksnipe, the reticle is more "realistic" I guess for lack of better terms on how to describe it.

Assault Rifles
552 Commando - Do I need to explain this one?
AK-47 - Same as above.
FAMAS - Kinda like an IW. Good damage and range with medium accuracy.(Team FAMAS 4 Life Bob lol)
G36C - You already know this one.
G3KA4 - Imagine an MP5 assault rifle.
M8 - You should know.
MTAR21 - Crazy damage fair range and accuracy. Like an IW as well.
SCAR-H CQC - Best all around gun stat-wise. Has good damage, range and accuracy

Submachine Guns
MP5N - You already know.
MP7A1 - Best SMG hands down.
UMP45 - Great SMG for sniping.
P90 - F90 toned down a bit.
MP9 - Like an MP7, just a lil less powerful.
MAC 11 - The classic Micro-UZI.

Light Machineguns
MK46 - MK48 anyone?
21E - An MP5 turned into a machinegun.
MG36 - Have CA? Then you've seen the MG36.
M249 SPW - More powerful version of MK46.

Sniper Rifles
M40A1 - More powerful than Socom version.
SV-98 - If the M87ELR and the SASR had a love child, this would be it.
PSG1 - Cool looking rifle that acts like an SR-25.
Scout Tactical - M87 and L96 hybrid.

Shotguns
M3 - No, not the M3 from S2, it's a pump with a pistol grip.
SPAS 12 - TA 12 guage more or less.
870MCS - Like the M3, only more powerful and accurate. (My weapon of choice, right bob? lol)
XM-26 LSS - Fully automatic shotgun that looks like an assault rifle.

Sheild
The least used weapon online. You walk around with this infront of you and can fire your handgun from behind it. You move so slow and can be killed so easily.

Handguns
MK23 - You know this.
USP40 - Looks like your standard police issued Glock.
Glock 18 - Crappy Model 18.
92FS - 9mm pistol of amazement. Powerful, accurate and has great range.
Raging Bull - The Dirty Harry handgun. Need I say more?
Desert Eagle - If I have to explain this, I swear to god I will choke you through your monitor.

All assault rifles, SMGs and handguns (minus G18, Raging and Deagle) can be silenced. You can also add a scope, red dot (reflex scope) or laser to your gun. Lasers CAN be seen by enemies so be careful. Pistols (except G18 and Raging) have the option for bigger clips too.

As stated before, the maps aren't really designed for sniper rifles. The Dam, Border Town and Streets are really the only levels I see them used on. All maps are fast paced and have little camping due to lack of size. Casino Vault is by far my favourite map in the game.

Anywho, my favourite feature so far(Or at least the one I'm really looking forward to) would have to be character customozation :D Vass array of weapons, armor, camos, Awsomeness.

I watched a few multiplayer videos, most were in Calypso Casino(Not much montages out for R6 yet on youtube..), looks awsome, can't wait to see the other maps!

I'm considering making a quick montage of Vegas. Who knows. Or I might just wait and do it next week during Winter break from school, I'd get better footage.

Quicksniping is possible though Tix, I've pulled it off. It's just much more difficult than any Socoms. I spent an entire 20 minute game with a sniper rifle, I only killed one guy, but it was sweet :smile: (My 1-10 BAMF, where I forgot the mic was open and pretty much cried on it about people seeming to never die for me)

I remember that. You should've been there with me, Thug and oxford like 30 min ago. I went 22-4 in the Casino Vault with the UMP45. Then I kept stealing Thug's kills with the UMP in the streets. It's now my official gun.
