Guitar Hero II

I know this might be the wrong section, but I did'nt see any sections that fit this genre of the game. I figured it is pretty much an entertainment game because your belting out Music covers.

I never played Guitar Hero , and I heard it's tremendously addictive. Guitar Hero 2 comes out coincidentally on the same day as Combined Assault in November.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the guitar controller would be the same for Guitar Hero 2 as it was for the first Guitar Hero . I want to start playing the first Guitar Hero but I'm not going to shell out the green twice for a guitar controller. And if they are different I'll just wait for the New ~Updated game. I searched but could not find the info that I was looking for.
Anbody Know ??????

I just read in my OPM (Offical Playstation Magazine) that you will be able to use the same controller. The second one looks even better then the first, with not just lead guitar but rhythm guitar and bass. And I believe they already have like 55 songs and are getting licenses for more. The game may look a little cheesy but it is a great party game.

Guitar Hero looks FAR from cheesy! The game is great! The game is addictive! The game is pure vaginal sex! I love it and have played the game so much since I bought it months ago.

I just wish they would throw some AC/DC, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and all of the other great bands and some of their great songs into it. Playing the guitar solos are the best though even if they are hard as balls.

And yes you will be able to play heads up and each player will get to choose if they want to play lead, rythem, or bass guitar on this game.

Another great thing about this game is that the actual band plays their instruments to the song and so does your guitarist. He plays the right notes/strums/slides/bends, everything. It's great!

I can't wait for it to come out. If the fretboard is clear on some stages as it shows in some of the video's, that could be pretty hard to focus on at times.

No, it is a bit cheesy just like DDR but none the less its a great game. One of the guys that worked on both Guitar Heros has said that they were working on getting bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica but its very hard to get licences from those three bands.

Zeppelin and Metallica are very stingy when it comes to their songs but AC/DC shouldn't be much of a problem.

Page is very protective of his music, he doesnt let just anyone use it (like three movies and one comercial have used Zeppelin material). And Metallica with all that Napster **** a few years ago I doubt give away their music unless they know they are gonna see some serious $cash$. I would love to see these two bands on the next Guitar Hero (especially Zeppelin) but it would be very doubtful that we will.

At the Best Buy by my house they usually have three or four new games out so people can play them. Guitar Hero has been on display there since it came out (Which was before Christmas of 05). I think it may be one of the biggest selling PS2 games of all time.

i just got it. Looks Awesome. I like the fact that you can pick the venue you want to play in.
Now all I have to do is wait to get off work......
I just read in the newest issue of Rolling Stone how Led Zeppelin are stingy, good article nonetheless
