I don't want to come off as a pompous sphincter, but is this game any fun for someone who has played guitar for almost 20 years? I have tons of fun cranking up the ol' Strat and jamming along to DVD concerts on my 50".

Thanks in advance.

It's pretty fun. Most people I know who play guitar enjoy the game.
I'd go as far as to say that a good portion of the songs are harder on expert than in real life.

You can try it out at most Bestbuys.

I happened to think that myself before I purchased, since I have dabbled in Bass Guitar over the past decade. having exerience with a Bass I feel made me advance rather quickly in this game. But the game is still fun, nonetheless. And I have to admire the sheer fact of how they designed it
For someone that has played over 20 years and jammimg to DVD's , yea I can see how it might bore you.

Boba, Bark at the Moon expert is harder than Bark at the Moon real life, its a challenge. But there is certainally a fun factor to it.

Queens of the Stone Age : No One knows
is so much fun to play on this game, but that's on Medium, I haven't played anything on expert yet, because all my friends kept taken the Guitar away to play it.

Bark at the Moon in real life is next to god like when it comes to playing it on the real guitar. It is extremely difficult on the game but real life definately has a step up on it. Jake Lee wasen't something to mess with.

And Boba, even if you don't like playing the game on your own, all you have to do is beat it once and get all of the songs then when you have company over, grab a second guitar and play heads up against your friends. That's definately a fun experience.

PS: I beat the game on expert and the songs Cowboys from Hell and Bark at the Moon were hard as hell but once you get used to the hammer on's and pull off's on this game, you can go through those fast parts like they are nothing!

That was one of my biggest problems last night was pulling off the Hammer On's.

It's funny how all of a sudden you just get your groove on and then all of sudden your missing every note flying down the fret. haven't unlocked " Cowboys From Hell " yet, and I'm looking forward to it....

Get off of the Medium setting and rock out to Extreme. For most people, they can't rock out to it because there are too many clinks in the song from missed notes.

The only songs I actually have problems with is Cowboys from Hell, Bark at the Moon, and Frankenstein but they are still fun to play.

I would have to say that the hardest song on Guitar Hero expert is the Breaking Wheel. Its one of the ones you have to buy, and it is so fast my wrists usually start to hurt.

LMAO
Yeah, I'm sure rocking out on Extreme will bring on twice the addiction. I'm like a perfectionist with this game I can't stand it unless I'm finishing the Songs with 95% percent of the notes hit and up.
