ok i was the one who posted that when i started playing socom 2 again whereit says crouch and stand it keeps going back and fourth rapidly and u guys said its definetly the controller..but i got 2 wireless controllers for ps2 for christmas so im trying to get them working..the batteries obviously work because i can see the green light flashing where the analog stick is when i press a button but when i press start it doesnt do anything..i cant skip the movie at the beggining or choose if i want to play single player or anything..the thing u put in the controller input is also flashing green lights and i dont know what the problem is..i tried restarting it but that didnt work....help?

Maybe its your disc you can get another one for 20 dollars. Or maybe it needs cleaning.

i finally got it working..but it seems that wireless controllers are worse because when i was playing socom 2 on single player a lot of times when i moved my crosshairs left and right it would lag there for like 2 seconds then go back to normal..and i was really close to the connector so the distance wasn't it..
